Did you miss Macy Miller’s Tiny Open House this last weekend in Boise? It was great to see the place and ask all the questions we could that come up when you see the details up close in person. Macy did a great job and the highlights for me were the metal work, the repurposed wood siding, and the sliding door for the bathroom. To read more about her Tiny House project visit her website at MiniMotives.com. There are also some very professional photos of her house that are just slightly higher quality than mine!

Are you a developer interested in how green development is changing the market? Or are you an architect or engineer, curious about how to leverage the financial benefits of sustainable design to achieve higher project goals? This week we kick off the 2013 Fall Lecture Series with Ashley Lemon from ARES Real Estate Services out of Golden, Colorado.
He will be providing the developers perspective on the business case for green developers. The talk will feature projects procured by their full-service, vertically-integrated development firm, while showing financial numbers and statistics that prove an increase in project value due to sustainable and energy efficient design.
Also, USGBC Idaho is hosting a free public reception after the talk at CTA Architects just two blocks away from Idaho Power at 1185 Grove Street in Boise. Anyone and everyone interested in continuing the conversation with Ashley is invited to attend and join in the conversation. We will offer free beer, wine and light appetizers.
