Downtown Boise Building is first LEED Platinum in Idaho and 16th in U.S.
Congratulations to all those involved in making this uniquely green building happen.
The 11-story Banner Bank Building is a $20 million, 190,000 sf Art Deco style office building in downtown Boise. It features digital lighting control, offices with individual thermostats, a process for recapturing rain water for use in the building's lavatories, an underfloor air distribution system and an electrical system that allows people to keep working during a power failure. MEETING CHANGE! Monthly Program/ Board Meeting All meetings are open to the public. |
Meeting minutes from the August 2nd USGBC Idaho meeting are now available online!
To encourage more of our Chapter Members to attend the monthly Programs we have moved the monthly Chapter Meeting to noon on the 3rd Friday of each month just before the Program begins. It will be a brief synposis of current news and action items about the Chapter presented by one of the Board Members. The Program/Chapter Meeting be held at Idaho Power Headquarters at 1221 Idaho Street in Boise unless otherwise indicated. There is no Program/Chapter Meeting scheduled for September.
Board of Director meetings will still be held the first Wednesday of every month at the Integrated Design Lab at 11am. This meeting will still be open to Chapter Members, however, they will only be observers and have no voting rights at those meetings.
September 27-29 in Sun Valley. Speakers this year will bring expertise in architecture and landscaping, energy conservation, public policy making, land use planning and green business investments. Learn more about this event>>

USGBC has certified the first LEED Platinum home, a distinctive pre-fab modernist home in Santa Monica, California. It was built by LivingHomes with the support of the California LEED for Homes Provider, Davis Energy Group.
Final Day for LEED AP Exam Version 2.1
October 31, 2006 is the last day to take the LEED for New Construction v2.1 version of the LEED Professional Accreditation exam. An updated version of this exam, along with new exam tracks for facilities and interiors professionals, will be launched this fall.
