| USGBC Tackles Wood Issue; AF&PA Reacts In a recent press release, the USGBC Board of Directors announced a new initiative for improving LEED that would recognize wood products from certification programs such as the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) program and others under a revised MRc6 for bio-based materials. The USGBC Board also announced a proposed revision to MRc7 that would give a LEED credit to certain bio-based materials from"Tier 2" certification programs.
