Building Description
The 11-story Banner Bank Building is a $20 million, 190,000 sf Art Deco style office building in downtown Boise. It is the 16th building in the United States to achieve a Platinum rating and the first in Idaho! It features digital lighting control, offices with individual thermostats, a process for recapturing rain water for use in the building's lavatories, an underfloor air distribution system and an electrical system that allows people to keep working during a power failure. These and numerous other sustainable features are expected to reduce the building's operating expenses by approximately 40%.
