Communications
One of the primary goals for the USGBC Idaho Chapter in 2012 is to increase effective communication with membership. In order to better serve your needs, we now have several ways that you can sign up to receive announcements and information.
The USGBC Idaho Chapter will continue with email announcements for important USGBC-sponsored lectures, events and recent green building news in Idaho. If you are interested in receiving these communications, please subscribe to our email list below.
On our blog, green building articles and local events are continuously posted by our board members and committee chairs. If you would like to receive these posts automatically, please subscribe to our RSS feed at the bottom of the website. You can choose to have summaries of our blog posts sent directly to a folder in your Outlook email, or to a feed reader of your choice. For more information on RSS feeds, please visit this site.
The USGBC Idaho Chapter is also posting to Facebook and Twitter. Please join us for great discussions, as well as wonderful opportunities to network with other members of Idaho’s green building community.
Troubleshooting:
Are you subscribed to our emailing list, but not receiving it? It could be due to one of several reasons. Here are some suggestions for fixing the problem.
First, check to make sure your ISP is not blocking our address. Look in your spam filter, and if your usgbcidaho.org email is not there, contact your ISP and request they either remove the block on info@usgbcidao.org, or specifically whitelist it.
Second, if your USGBC Idaho email is in your spam filter, it means your email program has flagged info@usgbcidaho.org as spam. To correct this problem, you will need to whitelist our email. Here are the whitelisting instructions for some popular email programs:
Outlook :
On the Tools menu, click Options. Then, on the Preferences tab, click Junk E-mail. On the Safe Senders tab, click Add, enter info@usgbcidaho.org, and click OK.
AOL/Yahoo/Gmail:
If our Email is in your Spam or Bulk Folder, please open the issue and then click the This Is Not Spam button. Next, check to see if the newsletter’s email address is in your “Blocked Addresses” list. If you see info@usgbcidaho.org on this list, select it and click the Remove Block button. Finally, please add info@usgbcidaho.org into your Address Book.
