Dear Chapter Members:

The USGBC Idaho Chapter is now soliciting nominations for the Board of Directors from chapter members across the state of Idaho.  These are 2-year terms of office.  Nominations will be accepted for 6 open seats.

You may nominate yourself by completing the USGBC Idaho 2012 Board Member Nomination Form, or nominate another person by asking them to complete and return an application form.  The application must be completed in its entirety and submitted to the Chapter by email no later than midnight Friday, December 2, 2011.  Send completed applications to charlie@usgbcidaho.org.

The Idaho Chapter will conduct the election via the USGBC On-Line Voting Booth.  Registered chapter members will be able to log in and cast one vote per open seat. Greening Your CC&Rs: Strategies for Improving the Sustainability of your Neighborhood

Friday, October 14th, 2011

Kelsey Nunez, Boise attorney and Chair of the Advocacy and Public Policy Committee, will present the newly released document, “Greening Your CC&Rs: Strategies for Improving the Sustainability of your Neighborhood” at the Idaho Chapter of the American Planning Association Conference this week in Moscow.

Home gardens provide fresh food at low impact to the environment

This year’s conference is focused on local food and planning, and the “Greening Your CC&Rs” document has helpful analysis on individual and community scale food production, the impact neighborhood associations can have, and how to make needed changes.

With special thanks to the Bullitt Foundation for their supportive grant, the USGBC-Idaho Chapter is looking forward to working with our members to enhance sustainability at all levels of our community.  Contact Kelsey for more information or to get involved at kelseynunez@givenspursley.com
