Objectives

• Establish a firm foundation to support the growth and maintenance of the USGBC Idaho Chapter.
• Provide a forum for the sharing of experiences, information and knowledge within the design and construction industry.
• Encourage individual members to provide feeback to the USGBC on draft standards and new programs from an individual and state perspective.
• Provide training, resources and services to the design and construction industry.
• Promote the adoption of LEED Green Building Standards by local governments and the State of Idaho.
• Create a Green Code Committee.
• Help building code officials to have a better understanding of LEED and integrated design.
• Commission studies specific to Idaho green building, and collect and disseminate cost and case study data on local green buildings.
• Advocate for sustainability to be included in K-12 school curriculum.
