Update to LEED BD+C Idaho Workshop

Good news for all those interested in earning CE credits!  This class has been approved for 4 GBCI CE hours. For all those who would like to take the course please RSVP by the end of the day today or we will have to postpone the class.

This course is intended for those who have completed the “LEED Overview for Idaho” workshop and/or have
some experience with LEED and are looking to learn about the specifics of the LEED BD+C (Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design Building Design + Construction) Rating System with a focus on NC (New Construction). 
The course begins with a brief introduction to the benefits and integrative approach to green building as well as
background on the USGBC and LEED, including fundamentals of the building certification process.  The course
presents an overview of LEED intents and requirements at the credit category level—touching on trends, best
practices and local examples.  Key LEED metrics and referenced standards are addressed throughout.  You will
leave this course with an intermediate understanding of the core concepts and strategies of the LEED BD+C
Rating System as well as more specific understanding of the intents and requirements of LEED NC.
