Construction Waste Recycling for LEED projects in the Treasure Valley
Lunch Lecture Series – April 16th, 12:00-1:30
Idaho Power Conference Room
Join us for an informative panel discussion on construction waste recycling for LEED projects in the Treasure Valley. The more we, the LEED design and construction community, know about what resources are available, the better chance we’ll have of being successful at maximizing construction waste recycling. We will be talking about what can be recycled and where as well as what kind of tracking and documentation services each agency can provide a contractor and a project in order to fulfill the requirements for the Construction Waste Management Credit (MR Credit 2). There will also be a discussion about what waste materials are not recyclable, why, and how we can work together toward changing it.
The panel will consist of knowledgable individuals that deal with construction waste recycling at a professional level including:
Selena O’Neal, Ada County Operations
Rick Gillihan, Western Recycling
Konrad McDannel, Allied Waste
Seth Brown, Pacific Steel and Recycling
Steve Sedlacek, Sanitary Services Company
Gary Simon, Scott Hedrick Construction
With Moderator:
Angela Comish, PE, LEED AP
This will be a great opportunity for all individuals to gain a better understanding of construction waste recycling and we look forward to seeing you there.
