Green LEEDers Social-Feb 9th
You are invited to attend our next Green LEEDers Social!
The Green LEEDers are a group of individuals who share a vision to foster sustainable development in the Treasure Valley based on LEED(R) (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) principles through monthly social events that feature an inspirational speaker and provide an opportunity for networking.

Who:
Doug Cooper specializes in sustainable and energy-conserving architecture with McKibben + Cooper Architects and has been a pioneer in the promotion of sustainable building practices and LEED in the state of Idaho .
Doug has been a Boise Planning and Zoning Commissioner since 2004 and was appointed Design Review Committee liaison for 2007. Currently he is working with that committee on new Design Standards for downtown Boise , which will include recommendations for sustainable material selection.
What:
Doug will discuss how the new Boise Comprehensive Plan will Promote Sustainability through green building policies as well as land use policies (location of uses to reduce mileage and encourage transit, water, and agriculture conservation). Doug will also discuss what the Planning and Zoning Commission is and how a City Comprehensive Plan differs from City Ordinances.
